M. 1880 U.S. HUNTING KNIFE

This is a model 1880 U.S. Army hunting knife.  This one is extremely fine condition.  The blade is almost mirror bright.  There are absolutely no chips or cracks in the hard wood handle.  Knife is marked U.S. Springfield on one side and serial number 140 on the opposite side.  Leather scabbard is in fairly nice condition.  Back of the brass belt hook is marked  “RIA” for Rock Island Arsenal.   See photos for best idea of items and condition.  Questions welcomed.
